Congratulations to Nick Spaziani, who recently celebrated the grand opening of Jack in the Box (JIB) in Louisville, Kentucky.

Kentucky is a new market for JIB, and this is the first Jack in the Box restaurant to be built in this market.

This restaurant utilizes their latest MK12 building prototype that was site-adapted to meet local building codes & design requirements with the City of Louisville. One challenge we conquered was the large Branding Cube element at the leading corner of the building, which had to be redesigned to meet local AHJ design requirements for roof signage. APD Engineering & Architecture, PLLC worked with the JIB Design Team to redesign the building parapets & Branding Cube element. This work led to the revised design being permanently integrated into the new prototype.

The exterior & interior decor of the building features JIB’s new “Craved” image, including a new color package, interior & exterior signage, and imagery. The new prototype also includes an upgraded dining room experience, drive-thru and walk-up windows for ordering and pickup, and dedicated parking for mobile and third-party delivery orders. With this first location open, Jack in the Box has additional locations planned throughout Louisville. Partners like JIB keep APD Engineering & Architecture, PLLC staff excited to work each day!
