Jack in the Box National Remodel Program

In 2017 Jack in the Box (JIB) approached APD to provide Architectural Construction Drawings for their new National Prototype Roll-out. APD has since completed dozens of stores with JIB in Texas and California. As part of this rebranding effort stores are obtaining new facades, signage, lighting, and interior upgrades.

When Jack in the Box found that construction costs were higher then they anticipated they consulted with APD to see if we could help decrease lead time and cost. APD reviewed the list of issues and offered Jack in the Box possible cost savings designs. Specifically, APD’s in-house Structural Team developed a value-engineered, wood-framed solution to apply Jack in the Box’s new look to an existing mansard, saving material costs and construction time. This solution is being used in future stores and became a prototype update.
