As Valvoline continues to expand its retail service network, each new location brings the challenge of applying an established program to a different site, market, and set of local requirements.
With more than 2,300 franchised and company-operated service centers across the U.S. and Canada, and a goal of reaching 2,900 by the end of 2028, managing those differences becomes increasingly important as the network grows.

Over the past four years, APD has supported more than 25 Valvoline projects across New York, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia, and Texas, providing architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, MEP engineering, and permitting services. That experience has reinforced a reality of multi-site development: standards create consistency, but every site brings its own considerations.
A new site may introduce different utility conditions, development requirements, permitting processes, or engineering considerations. The question is whether those conditions require the established approach to change, and if so, how much.
