APD Pulse Network: June Edition

June 16, 2026

June highlights an ongoing shift across the development industry: growth opportunities are becoming more diverse, requiring teams to balance flexibility with disciplined execution.

As brands continue expanding into new markets and pursuing creative development strategies, success depends on strong coordination, informed decision-making, and the ability to navigate complexity without losing momentum.

In this issue, we explore how Zaxbys is supporting growth through flexible development approaches, celebrate Bob McCormick’s promotion to Senior Technical Advisor, and take a closer look at the coordinated retrofit process that helps APD streamline complex rollout programs. We also share exciting company news and highlight upcoming opportunities to connect with our team.

Across every engagement, our focus remains the same: helping clients reduce uncertainty, improve coordination, and move projects forward with confidence.

Upcoming Events

APD is looking forward to attending the 2026 Jack in the Box Leadership Conference, taking place July 13–17 in Maui, Hawaii. This annual event brings together franchisees, operators, and industry partners to collaborate, share insights, and explore opportunities shaping the future of the brand.

As a proud partner of Jack in the Box since 2017 and serving as Prototype Architect since 2023, APD continues to play an active role in supporting the brand’s evolving design and development initiatives.

Our presence at this year’s conference reflects our commitment to strengthening existing relationships, aligning with franchisees and operators, and contributing to the next phase of growth for the brand.

Representing APD will be Todd Markevicz, Senior Principal of Civil Engineering, and Nick Spaziani, Senior Project Lead, both of whom bring extensive experience supporting multi-site retail and quick-service programs.

If you are attending, we invite you to connect with our team ahead of the event.
