Christopher Kambar, PE

Senior Principal of Civil/MEP Engineering

“You always work harder at the bad decisions.”

For Christopher Kambar, experience is not about having all the answers, but about knowing which questions to ask first. That mindset has shaped his career for more than 25 years, helping clients navigate complex challenges with clarity, confidence, and practical solutions.

Since joining APD in 1999, Chris has helped retailers, municipalities, and growing brands turn complex sites into clear, executable plans. As Senior Principal of Civil Engineering and leader of APD’s Civil and MEP teams, he combines a background in construction management and drafting with decades of engineering and leadership experience. His technical judgment, thorough due diligence, and coordinated approach help clients move projects forward with clarity and confidence.

Chris leads with clarity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to people. He believes great leadership is about removing obstacles, empowering people, and sharing knowledge that helps them succeed. He treats every client and team member as an individual, building trust through responsiveness, respect, and follow through. Outside of work, he enjoys time outdoors, from hiking and camping to landscape photography.
