Steven believes thoughtful structural engineering is rooted in continuous improvement. Energized by the pace and complexity of his work, he approaches every project with the conviction that even the strongest solutions can be refined. By challenging assumptions and looking beyond conventional approaches, he continually pursues more effective approaches to solving complex challenges.
Since joining APD in 2018, Steven has advanced to Principal of Structural Engineering, leading APD’s Structural Engineering department. With more than 14 years of structural design experience, he specializes in multi-site retail and quick-service restaurant programs, guiding projects from concept through construction while helping teams navigate complex field conditions. He also manages and continually refines the firm’s structural prototypes, helping deliver consistency across national programs. Steven translates complex structural challenges into practical solutions, helping clients make informed decisions and deliver projects that align with their goals and the highest standards of structural performance.
Steven believes effective leadership is built on honesty, trust, and a commitment to developing others through shared knowledge. He fosters a collaborative environment where clear expectations, personal ownership, and continuous growth enable teams to perform at their best. Outside of work, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, and playing video games with friends.

Steven’s favorite project was the ALDI V9 prototype. He enjoyed getting to start the project from the ground up, working with the Project Architect to find and implement out-of-the-box solutions to meet the needs of the client.
