APD finds ways to leverage technology to improve the quality of our projects and communicate what a project is about. Our visualization capabilities are about using technology to illustrate a functioning project in 3-dimensions to the designers to improve quality, to the users to refine layouts for better operations, and to the public and agencies to understand and buy into projects.

All of our projects are built on platforms with full Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3-Dimensional Modeling capabilities. As such, we are able to fully develop Building and/or Site perspective models and renderings for presentations at public meeting and hearings. These can include full simulation of traffic conditions and critical visual perspectives including fly by perspectives and on demand perspectives, in both fixed and dynamic conditions.

Our use of advanced integrated design platforms incorporating Building Information technology (BIM) allows APD to integrate design information, construction expertise, equipment requirements and client-specific knowledge within a single virtual model. BIM has great future potential and APD can help visualize, explore and predict design and construction application before the actual building is a reality.

By integrating 3-dimensional design into our civil engineering, we are able to reduce design effort and conflicts for underground utilities and features, optimize earthwork and better visualize a design.
